Hi All
I just found out about this forum and this is my first post. I have read through a lot of posts and done the famous "is it worth it" excel sheet.
So why I am checking these out? it is because I did an interview last week and we did not agree on the package yet. The company is an international engineering design company doing a lot of projects for Saudi at the moment.
We are a family of 4 at the moment. I have experience of 7-8 years so the role would be senior engineer/project leader.
What would be a suitable salary at these times for engineers?
Thanks in advance

It's difficult to put an exact number as it would depend on the project, the roster, the living conditions, location, as well as what else is included (i.e. relocation bonuses, school bonuses for kids, etc) but for a senior engineer role you would expect anywhere from 50k - 60k SAR per month in KSA. I am not sure about Dubai.

Hi
make sure you have all the details about what’s included in the package and what’s not:
dependents fees ?
Yearly return ticket ?
exit re entry ? Single? Multiple?
school allowance ?
mobile allowance ?
all those can cost really fast. For instance dependents fees are 400SAR/dependant/month so for your spouse and 2 kids it’s 14,400SAR per year.
exit re entry if not covered it’s at least 200 SAR per dependent per trip (for a single exit 2 months duration)
once you have the full picture you can assess if the offer is ok for you
