Default Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man to the UAE

Does anyone have practical experience of the issues that can arise in moving from Jersey, Guernsey or the Isle of Man, to the UAE?

In many respects it should just be like moving from the UK. Strictly speaking, however, these islands are not part of the UK; they are separate (albeit non-sovereign) countries.

Already it looks like driving licences might be a problem since Jersey, Guernsey and IOM are not listed as countries whose licences can be exchanged. Has anyone had experience, for example, in persuading the authorities to accept that Jersey/Guernsey/IOM licences should be exchangeable in the same way as regular UK ones, on the basis that the islands fall under UK sovereignty?

Grateful for any practical experiences. Many thanks.
