January holidays

I'm thinking fo heading off for a week the first week in Jan,

weather wise, any ideas where to go? was thinking somewhere like the maldives, or maybe asia somwhere, vietnam, cambodia - somewhere interesting,

any advice?

I know its probably all changed but as soon as anybody says vietnam and cambodia I just think war, famine etc :unsure:

I went to Chaing Mai in Thailand loved it, would love to go back. As for NYE i the toon, too bloody cold!!

My recommendation would be a Beach and Safari combination in Kenya, but then I am hardly impartial.
