This is a supplementary question that I got loads of excellent help from.

MY GM is spiteful.

I've a new position (offer) with an Anglo US company in the KSA.

I joined my existing company about a year ago but under sponsorship from a third party company. (Long story but Im leaving because of lack of salary.)

This Iqama was transferred to my current company a couple of months later.

I hear that as my present company is not the original sponsor they cannot insist on a Final Exit, they must allow release / transfer.

Can anyone throw some light on the subject?

When does your initial contract with your existing job expire? This article in the SG explains what's happening so far with iqama transfers, but just like every other law in KSA, a great big vat of salt must be taken with it in regards to it actually being implemented.
