Re: Interview for job in Riyadh
Good luck, Lil'Jim.
I lived in Riyadh when I was in my mid-20's, and vowed never to go back. But never's a long time. Frequently go to Al Khobar now--I could handle working there if I was living in Bahrain and crossing the confounded bridge every day, but not sure I'd want to be in Riyadh. The tide goes out an awfully long way. Still, they tell me Riyadh's a big modern city now--guess you'll find out. Hope it goes well:D |

There are other irons in the fire that still need attention... |
Re: Interview for job in Riyadh
I have to say, I find Riyadh a better place to be than Jeddah or (particularly) Dammam :o
Better restaurants... less humid... more fun at the embassies... |

It gets worse. I would be based on a remote site somewhere along the route of the railway they're building. Could be hard.
Which railway? Is is land bridge finally being built? |
Re: Interview for job in Riyadh
They are expanding the railway network here to include a direct route from Riyadh to Jeddah
and Jeddah to Yanbu, for starters, then an inner city Riyadh network from the present railway station to the airport direct. Also plans to include Taif and Abha. Yes will of course take many millions of light years. |

You're not wrong. Reading the Ts&Cs...I have to do 6 months before I am entitled to my first R&R break. Jeepers.
6 months in the desert with no women. God man, you will need some imagination and some nail varnish for the left hand. |
