Internet and the UAE
We own our own domain name. I am not a "computer person", so humor me. Will we be able to access "forbidden" sites through our own domain?
AM
Also - Why in the hell are the darn "New post", and "karma" buttons so freaking small on this board? I had to go get my damn glasses to find the button to start this post - LOL!

She will still be able to access her site/domian for updates etc, just so long as her particular domain ist blocked - I'm assuming it is not pornographic. :scared:
What I think she is getting at is would she be able to surf fordidden sites using her 'acceptable' domain as some kind of proxy. I'm guessing this is not possible.

That wasnt the intention. There was a few 'guesses' on my part in my posting. I have a reasonable understanding of these things, but I wouldnt class myself as a 'guru'.

Hi AM,
Have a look at time out this month, they do a full spread (pun intended fnaar) about the whole internet barring stuff.
basically unless you ork in Media city or live in an Emaar development, you must go through Etiilisat 9or whatever they're called).
So you're a bit buggered.
So to speak.
