International City Stench
According to today's gulfnews.com headlines, there has been yet more sewage flooding at IC, this time affecting the England cluster. You should see the photos and imagine how it must smell in this heat. The letters at the foot of the page are enlightening too. One twat has the audacity to say that complaining is not the way forward. Wait until it spreads to his doorstep. Another reader says that he is being moved there soon by his company, poor sod.

A lot of hotels stick their staff there. They pay them peanuts and then put them in shit accommodation ...

Re: International City Stench
I have just moved out of International City (Italy). To Bahrain.
I can honestly say that Int City was the worst place I have lived since coming to th Middle East in 1986. In Italy, the stench wasnt that bad, but the place is just one big labour camp now with lots of companies putting their staff over there (in large numbers). Other things to note are;-
1) Poor building standards (in fact they had to completely plaster the external buidlings due to cracking). Fittings crap, leaking pipes, kitchen cabinets must have been made in Kabul.
2) Not enough parking.....(or too many cars!) cant park anywhere near the building after 9.00 pm.
3) ACs seem to expell everyone elses smells into your flat....smoke, curry odour etc etc Could tell when neighbours have their meals.
4) Rubbish and garbage all over the place....
5) People are too lazy to put their garbage in the bins....leave in corridors etc
6) Actually the place probably wouldnt be too bad if the existing residents moved on....I was the second person into U11 at Int City. Looked ok in the beginning....but not now.
7) And yes, the 10 miles of sewage tankers which seem to surround the place all the time.
8) Road access diabolical although I noticed last weekend when I cleared my final bills, that someone has woken up and permitted cars to enter the place without snaking around dragonmart.
Wouldnt recommend living over there.....only advantage is the rent was much cheaper..I soon found out why....its not worth it.

"Any cars that are not parked in the marked spaces, which are now under at least 3cm of sewage as reported in Gulf News, are being given parking tickets by Traffic Police"
