Inside the Saudi Kingdom BBC documentary

Re: Inside the Saudi Kingdom BBC documentary
There was a bit too much of the elite environments in that. Little of the bottom end. It was trying hard to be 'reasonable' propoganda in a way, for those in the West to look into what previously to them had been a mystery. Briefly mentioning problems but suggesting they can be resolved. I think we now need to take a look at Western government sponsored material to see what is presented to the rest of the world about our countries, to see the same tell tale signs of 'band aids'.

Interesting documentary, and some of them seem like smart, nice people indeed.
However the whole thing was simply apologetics for not wanting to change, adapt and join the international community...

I'm suprised it didn't have 'Produced by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia external affairs ministry' on the titles.

Well obviously there was going to be a lot of pre-broadcast input as to what was shown .

Unless this video showed bearded wankers bastardising Islam and driving like retards, it was complete propaganda.

Joke of a documentary. Didn't really show any aspect of the real Saudi.

Well, showing a nation drunk, hypocritical whoremongering misygonists would be true, but not quite the public image the Saudi's would want to show, however true it might be...!

It would have been more entertaining if they showed it taking 45 minutes to get round a roundabout.

One of the most vivid memories I have is of an Audi Quattro, no doubt driven by a Saudi, in the middle of a roundabout. The impact against the New Jersey barriers ripped off all four wheels, and the car was plonked in the middle resting on the sills.

Going straight over the top of a roundabout because the lanes are to busy.

The driver must have been an Al Saud. How dare the road system demand he go round a roundabout. You can almost sense the outrage he must have felt as he zoomed straight on at full pelt. "I am an Al Saud! I am going straight on! Such impertinence!!" Dozy twunt....

The Saudi's approach to roundabouts is startling. If they just let the guys on the roundabout have priority traffic would flow 3 x quicker but they zoom on and block off exits for those already on the 'bout. Beggars belief.
Emiratis know how these things work...why not Saudis?
