folks,

please can anyone give me info on the following companies:
sama dubai, al rajhi projects and al habtoor.
what are they like to work for, projects, etc

My company works in a JV with Sama Dubai and from what I have heard they seem ok to work for. Not heard of Al Rajhi Projects. Al Habtoor seem to have a fair bit of work in and around AD, not sure how many expats they employ though?

Raha is in AD. Do a search on Balfour Beatty (I think)

If your talking about Al Raha then the main contractor on that project is ALDAR Laing O'Rourke.

yep aldar LOR ok but the only problem is accommodation, even they are finding it difficult.

thanks for the replies. the company is al Rajhi projects, i know of Aldar / LOR in AD but dont know much about Al Rajhi, anyone advise me.

I understand Al Habtoor have just been awarded a contract...possibly in AD. I believe its a first for them.

An ever expanding company though from what i can gather.

I am working for a company in Abu Dhabi who are in several joint ventures with Al Habtoor. I have not heard any really negative reports about them and several of my colleagues and fellow scots are employed through Habtoor.
Carillion and Laing O'Rourke are on the Al Raha Beach project in AD. If you are just coming out here to work you will find everything is done very differently to the UK and very slowly !!
