Need a yellow fever certificate if arriving from an infected area.
Rest are recommended and NOT mandatory

That will be a lovely holiday - I've been to both and certainly Jaipur is amazing!

Go by train to Agra if possible but anyway it is a good experience.

No health issues as far as I can recall. Amoxycillin500 will stop any bad shits straight away and you can buy it OTC in Dubai or the airport.

Have a nice holiday.

As a long time frequenter of nasty places, I would recommend:

- Hepatitis A
- Yellow Fever
- Typhoid
- Meningitis
- Tetanus

I've never taken anything for malaria and never had it. DEET works for some, not for others. it doesn't work for me so cover up and accept to get bitten.

With my african and south american adventures, I agree with the yellow fever jab (first vacination gave after effects), rest depends on what yóu intend to do on your travels. If going remote, then check with a local doc, but if your sensible, rest are optional if your a nervous travelor.

Never took the preventative Malaria pills, and know plenty people (ok 4) who have had Malaria and had it treated like a bad fever. Guess your ****ed if you get the nasty strain, bit odds in your favour.

An update on what I found out about where to get vaccinated here...

I spoke to the Medcare hospital opposite Safa Park, where I have been to the GP. They said they don't do Hep A and other vaccinations, and the place to go to is Al Baraha hospital.

I call Al Baraha and when I finally got through to someone he just said 'come at 9am'. Thats all.

So I go there at 9am today. After being sent to 3 different buildings and having the usual pathetically low level of customer service, I finally found the doctor's office that does vaccinations.

He very rudely basically said they won't do Hep A or any vaccinations for travel to India, because the Ministry of Health have not advised it. Flat, point blank, rude refusal. Despite the fact that my GP in the UK advises it.

what vaccs do you want to get?

try cedars in jebel ali for yellow fever and they will probably give you the other ones if you ask.

baraha is a govt hospital, you should count yourself blessed that they bothered to even answer the phone..
