What is going to happen is that expats will expect the companies to pick up the tab and the cost of doing business will go up.

Sleep easy guys...

Shoura: No taxes on expats

The Shoura Council rejected a move to tax the incomes of individual expatriate workers in the public and private sectors at its 18th regular session yesterday.

The session was chaired by Council Vice President Dr. Mohammed bin Amin Jafri.

Amen!

Apparently, they introduced income tax in 1985, and then cancelled it the following day after droves of expats handed in their resignations.

Can any long serving expat in Saudi confirm this?
