Hi Lolo,
My wife and I are looking for a studio or 1br in a compound. We really want to spend close to 4000, but depending on the amenities, we could go higher.

Hi just a word of warning. the compund situtation is close to nil availablity.
Please be aware of people offering promises, they may not be able to come up with.
Certainly DO NOT PAY Money to an agent.

Thank you coffindodger, I most certainly won't pay money to an agent. Can you recommend an alternative method of finding a place that isn't so labor intensive?

To be honest i think it is just pot luck and being in the right place at the right time.
I did post on the Wilki last year a list of most, not all of the compounds here in riyadh.
Just knocking on doors and speaking to compound managers really i suppose.
Some compounds have veryyyyyyyy long waiting lists,

The OP claims to be able to help people to get into certain compounds.
I said How can this person claim to do this if all the compounds are full.

Please be carefull !!
I am not saying for one minute this maybe a dodgy deal.

There is a new compound recently open ed up close to the DQ.
Depending on which part of the city you maybe working in this may help.
Please do a search i recently answered this one last month.

The traffic here in riyadh is crazy for most of the day it is grid locked !!!
Nightmare situation.
The standard of driving is also very poor.

The Philips Ericsson compound (Riyadh Village?) near the King Fahd football stadium will be reopening in December after refurbishment.
