hungry in Kuwait
Hi,
Not an expat myself, but looking to send a parcel of goodies from the UK to a friend in Kuwait. Looking for any tips on what to send - ie, what is really hard to get hold of there that a Britisher might be craving (I'm assuming it's not a good idea to send pork and booze)? Eg, are fine British cheeses - stilton, quality cheddar - readily available? Anything else that is hard to come by?
Any pointers gratefully received. Thanks most kindly!

Unless it is illegal (pork and alcohol or useless:- apple sauce) You can get more in Kuwait than in UK.

Re: hungry in Kuwait
The tee shirt is right - you can get most things in Carrefour and the other supermarkets there.. All food which is sold in Kuwait with an origin outside of Kuwait (...why don't I just say 'all imported food') has a sticker on it from one of the ministries.
I suspect that sending food in will be difficult. But Brit cheeses would be nice.
NO DVD - for some reason they don't like this.

jelly?
Can't get decent pork based jelly here for love nor money (only crappy beef jelly that doesn't set properly). I got stopped at customs once with about 10 packets in the suitcase - I wouldn't recommend doing it.
