If I employed a house maid of the same nationality would she get a resident permit?

tell you what, on a slightly different thing here, the place we're moving into has a 'maids quarters', quarters as in an outside room about 8 foot square with a small bathroom, jesus, I wouldn't put a dog in there, do maids really live like this over here?

if you sponsor a maid, then yes they get residency...but i think there are restrictions on nationality of maids, not sure... I know you can't be related to the maid...

They do, my friend - and worse.... Someone I know has an aya (nanny) who doesn't even have a room - she sleeps on the floor of the kid's room....
