Hotels in Jeddah for Riyadh expat holiday and diving

Hi all,

I will be living in Riyadh with my husband and we are thinking of going to Jeddah for a quick break during Eid. I tried to contact Fal Beach Resort but they told me that this was a residential compound (I was led to believe it was a also a beach resort). Can anyone recommend the best place to stay as a Western couple in Jeddah for a few days where I could use the beach and pools etc? We would also like to dive so a place that it is easy to organise this from would be good.
I did a search for info in the forums but couldn't find anything other than Al Bilal - however I heard that this had closed.

Many thanks.

The Sheraton I think has a private beach and can arrange diving for you.

Thanks for that advice about the Sheraton. Does anyone know of anywhere else, perhaps outside of Jeddah which is actually on the beach? Ta.
