Default Hotels in Dubai

Hi
Contemplating a visit to Dubai for a "look see" holiday and was hoping members could advise on the following hotels (esp which to avoid!)
Oasis Beach Hotel
Al Manzil
Quaraidien Hotel
Golden Sands Hotel Apartments

Thanks all

please take a look at this one www.arabianparkhoteldubai.com. Oasis Beach Hotel is really nice too, Golden Sands Hotel Apartments are in the 'centre' of town and it is pretty busy. the other two I have never heard off!

I think the other 2 are the new ones near Burj Dubai.

Depends on whether you want beach facilities or not

Oasis Beach Hotel - pretty nice beach hotel - one of the more affordable ones. Located at the far end of "new Dubai" = building site... still - a good option if you want beach for cheap...
Al Manzil - located in the middle of the biggest building site in the world. Nice hotel but the taxi drivers don't know it and the building work is bad... avoid for now...
Quaraidien Hotel - same as Al Manzil
Golden Sands Hotel Apartments - no idea to be honest, I know where they are but never seen them inside...

Blue Cat's hotel suggestion is a good one.

These 4 hotels are pretty different... what is you want? Beach? cheap?

Other ones worth looking at for reasonable rates are the Novotel and Ibis.

another affordable one is the Rydges Plaza in Satwa, had a recent make over - handy location, accessable with access to a beach club.

Or he could mean Ravi's.

I wouldn't bother with Swollen Glands. A bit of a dive, by all accounts. Some of our guys have been put up there on arrival.
