Hey All,

Jumping over the boarder from Muscat next week for a few days, I'll be bringing my 3 month old son for the first time and wondered if anybody had a good recommendation for a good hotel with a nice bar/pub that we could also take the little fella into? I usually stay at the Rotana Jumeira but from memory they dont allow kids in the pub - is this common in Dubai?

Budget around 1000 - 1200 Dhs per night.

Jumeirah Beach Hotel, children are allowed in most restaurants and the Dhow and Anchor but only outside if I remember rightly

If your mate is the manager, can you ask him/her to reduce his prices? Of all the ten hotels I tried for the Sevens, they were eleventh cheapest.

you should speak to him direct not the booking girls, he will sort something out if not for the hotel but for the apartments next door

and it sooooooooo doesn't have a nice bar/pub...
it's ok for a guy who is here for work, who makes long days and only needs a place to sleep, that's all...and yes, I know where it is, I have even been inside so I do know what I am talking about...

What about Al Qasr or Mina a Salam at Madinat then youve got loads of choices of bars (lots with outside seating areas so children shouldn't be a problem). From what I can remember most of the regular bars have an 8pm policy regarding children even if you are eating
