I'm sure, though, that if you've got the cash, the service and overall experience of staying at the Burj is going to be amazing.

alrite Mr. Fuddy Duddy!

Here are some recent pics then.

Lee,
This is the Madinat Jumeirah resort that is situated just next to the Burj Al Arab hotel. Nice place to visit as well.

Thank you everyone your information has been very helpful. Well you really have helped us narrow the search down. The short list is:-

Burj Al Arab

or

One and Only Royal Mirage.

Are these hotels far from the city?

We probably won't spend to much time on the beach. We live at the beach in Australia. Our town is small and quiet, so the city would be nice for a change.

Can anyone suggested a web site to get the best deal?

Please recommend the best value for money rooms. eg. Suite, Junior suites, etc.

Cheers

Please...if you're not bothered about the beach, stay in a desert resort, Secluded, quiet and luxurious.

You could stay at the Burj for two nights for a tacky as hell Dubai experience. (I have stayed there once, it was an experience)

It's pretty remote where we live(4 hrs drive to next town) so being near the city is more appealing than out in a desert.

Then i'd question your choice of dubai as a honeymoon spot, as it is more like clusters of neighborhoods with their corresponding malls spread out over a pretty large area for a small population.

And it's not exactly a romantic place.

Go to Oman instead.

Oman is definitely worth looking into, the people are amazing the climate has the temp's (but not the humidity) and the place it self is gorgeous. I think it was W10 that mentioned. The Chedi earlier, we actually looked at this for our honeymoon and it's only the fact that we ware already living in the region that made us look elsewhere. Another bonus is that Dubai is on a 4 hour drive away if you fancied coming down for a weekend in the middle or something....

hang on now all of u Dubai bashing folk.

DM would have had a field day with this.....

anywho.....

The Burj is a good place to stay if u want to experience Dubai's ultimate level of tackiness and grandeur at the same time.....

It isnt that far out from Downtown Dubai.... a 20-30 minute cab ride will have u stuck is Worlds largest traffic jams in no time at all. The hotel, as you can see from the pics is located in the middle of a low rise residential neighbourhood.

Try Emirates for special fares as you may get discounts at the Burj for booking through them www.emirates.com

Hope that helps.
