MJC will be interested to know that the 7 Days newspaper is sort of like The Metro and is free for all.
But u r right TA5, there is plenty of crime and it is good that more and more of it is getting reported. Alteast people dont get the wrong idea. You have to be careful.

We had a sticker placed next to our door bell at home.... says Statistical Population Census 2005. After doing a little background reading on it, I found out that a population census will be conducted in December of this year and we have been requested to co-operate with the guy when he comes around with his forms.
Have u got one of those stickers in the vicinity of your apartment?

What about that open park at the foot of EMAARS 6 main towers? I think more people hang around there than actually live in the buildings themselves.
Though having said that, I have to say that I did notice a significant increase in the # of boats berthed at the Marina when I was there in early April.
So why do u think they havent decided to place a toll on other main roads like SZR, Al Wasl Road or the Beach Road?

even u have noticed the abundance of white corollas, huh? lol. it is true though, I am not going to dispute that.
So the 1st floor of the Burj Dubai will be completed tomorrow and a new floor every 3 days from tomorrow. How cool is that?
Thankfully, the Burj Dubai development is going to have its own monorail system that will be linked to the main Red line that runs down SZR to AUD.

The congestion charge is a good thing in London, but who knows if it will work as effetively in Dubai......... hmmmmmmmm
the toll on some streets would only make other streets more congested. lol
It has to be city wide!

so far, from what i have seen, Dubai is really bad for traffic when compared to london.
