Help with nurseries in Bahrain

Hi

I'm moving to Bahrain this August and am trying to decide on a nursery for my 3 yr old daughter. I've contacted a few and 3 have got back to me saying they may have space available. The 3 are the British preparatory school, the Learning tree and

Can anyone advise me on which of the 3 would be the best/worst choice?

Also, my elder son has got a place at the British school of Bahrain, could anyone recommend a decent area to rent an apartment in nearby?

Many thanks
Sally

Re: Help with nurseries in Bahrain

there are looooots of nurseries so you may not get a recommendation among the three... esp as your third choice seems to be missing ;-)

You could try asking on the mums in bahrain forum (just google it)

BSB is in Hamala. nearby areas with decent accommodation are Hamala itself, Janabiya and Saar.

Accommodation is split between apartments and compounds which usually have villas. Not sure if you're aware of the differences. If not, just ask, but they are important.

you can check Bahrain's yellow pages you might find some there. But you might look around the same area of your accommodation in Bahrain.

Join Mums in Bahrain as previously suggested and look at their FB page. Excellent info available there.

Hi,

First of all, all of the three areas are near to each other. Janabiya and Hamala have more compound villas. In Saar you can find mostly stand alone villas.

I think if your kids are below 7 as I understood, compounds will be more fun for your family.

You can check the images of the villas in each of the three places to get more idea from the following link https://bahrain.weetas.com/en/proper...f-bahrain.html

I tried them few times for my friends.

All the best

Hello Ali881

Many thanks for the clarification & the link. It is very useful. One more question, we are planning to stay somewhere temporary, say for month until we find somewhere permanent. Do u know if any agencies do short term let?. How is the traffic from these ereas to Manama, where my work is based.
Many thanks for your help.

Sally

Hi Sally,

Well, I dont know any agencies that could help you in finding a short term let. But you can search for furnished apartments in Juffair and contact them directly asking for 30 days stay. They normally give you a good rate.

Juffair is part of Manama so you probably will drive less than 15 minutes not matter
where you work in Manama.

I think this is a wise decision. In 30 days you can make a better decision in finding the right place to live in Bahrain.

Good luck
