Re: Help! Need to Leave AD
oh dear Marty this is so sad, it isn't mean't to be like that. what line of work are you in? maybe we could find you something better here in Dubai rather than you having to go home. I don't think you did your homework very well, 3000 dhs a month is an insult not a salary. Hope we can help you out

If Marty lets us know what line of work he is in then maybe someone on here may be able to help him find work with a reputable company!

Marty,
Do you have anything in writing? If you have a contract in which they promised you certain benefits and salary and if they have breached that contract/offer letter then please go and complain to the Labour Department.
Also is your company a "govt" owned company or an expat company?
The Interpol will not track you, don't worry

IG makes a good point - you do have a degree of protection under the labour law, and if the company is in breach then you do have some rights & remedies available.
If you need any assistance locally in Abu Dhabi, then please PM me - I'm based here & would be happy to help.

my god that's terrible... although it happens on the other side of things i know plenty of people who have had great employers out there... look for something else if you can... they're obviously not fufilling their end of the contract, so you shouldn't have to either

IF you haven't already it might be a good idea to empty your UAE bank a/c (if there is anything in it!!!) as if the co. gets wind of you leaving they will have it frozen

Was promised a salary much more than 3000 aed a month
Sorry - this doesn't sound quite right............
"Promised"? In writing? You had a written job offer? Like a contract? I guess not......
What do you mean "....more than 3000...."? If it was 'more than 3000', why was 3000 mentioned at all? I've never heard of an employer agreeing a salary on the basis of it being "more than" a lower figure - doesn't make sense.
