Just my personal view, but I think the problem you might find is that they are just not so security conscious over here as they are in the UK, that level of fear just doesn't exist here. Maybe you could diversify? Capitalise upon some of the other IT skills you have?

I have to disagree with that ... take, for instance, banks which need security and without security would not exist. Also, I am sure there are many consultancy companies out there who offer security work requests within the middle east.

I agree on diversifying but with the help of others in this thread, I am starting to filter out relevant jobs !

nudda, of course you are right...information security is as important here as anywhere else in the world...definitely in the financial sector, but i'm sure it applies across the board. I seem to recall reading somewhere about an Information Security trade fair in Dubai...sorry, i can't remember where, but maybe google and you might find some more details...

Information Security...

ISACA chapter here is pretty active, and there are often a number of postings on there for jobs.

I have also seen that Emirates have a number of adverts on their recruitment section for roles in the IT security area.

IT Security is a big thing here, so I am sure you will find something. Def have a look at the agencies page on this site (links in posts above I think) and get registered with them. Also, once registered CHASE them cos they aren't very pro-acive here!
