Does anybody know any gooduns ???? Or is just simply join a gym at a hotel chain ? Do all hotels allow you to use their pool / beach facilities (obviously for a price) ?

yes for a price Hotel memberships are not cheap by any means. Good luck with your search! You could look at the Lakes Club, it has tennis etc and a nice pool area.

It is a club for expats that is situated in the middle of the Lakes Development. If you join one you join them all, there are 4 in total. All owned by Emaar. www.hayya.ae

Pharoahs Club at Wafi is quite good - nice gym and pool area - tennis courts - might be worth a look and not as expensive as some of the hotels
