Exclamation Graduate Jobs in Dubai

Hi Everybody,

Im currently living in the UK, Midlands area, and in my final year studying Computer Science at Uni. Iv been to Dubai and Abu Dhabi on occasions and I just love the life and atmosphere over there. I have 1 year industry experience as I took a placement last year with 3Com working as a system test engineer. I will be graduating, hopefully , this June and am wondering what is the chances of a fresh graduate to secure a job in Dubai either in the IT or Business sector.

Also what are the best companies or recruitment agencies that are willing to give fresh UK graduates a chance in Dubai.

Kindest Regards

Romachka

Romachka, have you bothered checking the back threads? There are an exhausting no. of posts on jobs in Dubai, advice on getting them, recruitment agencies and the IT and business sector. If you have already, just ignore me....I'm sure someone will help out.

Thanks Cherrypie for your fast reply and I did check most of the threads for jobs in Dubai, but they were mainly for professionals who have many years of experience in their fields.

However Im wondering if UK IT graduates have a chance of securing jobs in Dubai and does anybody know of companies that regurlary offer jobs to overseas graduates? Thanks for you time.

Hello Romacka,

When you say u are a fresh graduate, I am assuming that you mean a fresh undergraduate. Well I am on the verge of becoming an Engineering graduate myself, and I can safely say that with one year of Industry work experience, you definately have an edge over someone like me.

I would imagine that you stand as good a chance as anyone else in securing a decent job in Dubai. Based on what you are interedted in, I would suggest checking out the Internet City. Look up companies that have their regional HQ's there and get in touch with them directly. I dont see any problem in you finding a job.

Just be sure to iron all the details and read the fine print before accepting any offers. I know an Ozzie mate of mine who was forced to leave Dubai after 6 months because of some minute company policy that he had over looked when he took up an offer here. Its just a word of caution. I am sure everything will be fine.

Do ask if you need any more help.

Well newly graduated individuals from any country would have difficulty getting a job here, as experience seems to be a large thing in this part of the world.

Ask at uni, your industrial placement officer guy would know the situ, and probably have decent contacts, and lecturers are a great source for contacts out and about....plus they could give you a lead into a company

I try
and anyway, my uni had great contacts, one of the lecturers spent half the time out in the middle/far east on contracts, and they all knew people in the industry...
