Hello

Anyone had any good snorkeling experiences around the UAE with recommendations?

Cheers

Snoopy Island is the standard snorkelling spot on the east coast. Turtils, sharks, the usual malarkey.

Sandy Beach is the resort opposite Snoopy Island http://sandybm.com/

In Fujeirah. Easy to get to from Dubai. Bit rough round the edges but that's part of the charm

Has snoopy recovered ? Red Tide really knocked it a few years back

Sandy beach is a shithole but we had some of our best nights ever there, flaming arseholes along the beach at 3am

Snoopy Island is ok. Dibba Rock is much better. You'll see why they call it "The Aquarium" if you go. If you're lucky you'll see small black tips, turtles and maybe some rays.

Most of the hotels on the east coast do boat trips out to DR but if you pay for beach access here:

you can hire a kayak from the dive centre and get out there yourself. Its a cracking day out, I take my folks every time they come out. Beach access also gets you use of the pool and there's a decent bar too

Snoopy used to be just like that, black tip shark scared the shit out of me early one morning

Been dead for last 4 years or so though, it would still be impressive for visitors but nothin like it was

Still great fun in the chalets with your BBQ, music, own booze, kids running free though

Think they must be refurbing - can't book a two bed chalet for love nor money at the moment.

My suggestion is you need to start with the sea. Snorkelling in Marina Mall is not going to be successful, unless you're in Waitrose and MILF hunting.
