Going to Kuwait as Dermatologist / Skin specialist doctor
Hi members,
I have received an offer of 1500 KD to work as skin specialist doctor. I have not been offered any other allowance or insurance cover. I have two dependents with me, my wife and a daughter of 5 years. Please let me know how much I will be able to save from this salary.
Thanks in advance for your help

1500 KD is approx AED 18k - if Kuwait is as expensive as the UAE, then you will definitely struggle on that given you are a family of 4. School fees and accommodation alone will eat up a big chunk of that.

I worked in Kuwait for afew years ago and earned similar amounts as you. I was by myself though.
Kuwait like most other places and caters for different groups of people. For instance, the Indian area is generally around Salmiya block 10 whereby you will be paying around KD 215 for a one bedroom. Whereas you can stay in other parts and pay KD 400+ etc for similar sized flat but maybe with a sea view.
There are many people earning less that 1500 and therefore you can survive but the only concern would be school fees (I don't know how much they would cost).
My total expense was around 550-600KD per month but had a simple lifestyle (by choice and not cause I couldn't afford more). I was staying in the Indian area as I loved the area and literally everything gets done for you for a fraction of the price. I even had someone cook for me fresh food on a daily basis.
Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any further questions.

That would not be enough for a British family will settle there, I was in Kuwait since my birth up to 12 years old, the best option in my opinion to go there by yourself only then see the situation then decide if the family could come or not
