Gliding in Riyadh?

Are there any gliding clubs in Riyadh (like this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glider_(sailplane))?

I heard there is somewhere called Thumama which might have something, but cannot find any specific info.

Thanks!

But they don't appear to offer fixed wing glider sailplanes...

For God's sake, keep well clear of Saudi gliding clubs. The mind boggles at the degree of expertise and safety prowess they will probably demonstrate.

Agree with mentalist. But if you insist, it would be better to just jump off the escarpment with a bed-sheet.

I think there is no gliding in KSA. Security risk.

Ahah. These are microlights not gliders. I am out of touch ! (A glider has no motor)

They are probably terrified that they would be a clever zionist ruse to attack their little slice of paradise.

Remember, this is a country where seatbelts are considered pointless since its Allahs will if you are meant to die.
