Getting vaccines

Getting vaccines
So I booked an appointment with a doctor to get my typhoid vaccine for an upcoming trip. The doctor charged me 150 dhs and promptly sent me to the pharmacy to buy my vaccine. The pharmacy, obviously, didn't have it. So basically I just paid 150 dhs for a doctor to open his door and let me use his chair for 2 minutes.
Makes you realise what a wonder the NHS actually is...
But anyway, is there a more efficient way to get this done?

Re: Getting vaccines
I have had to have a number of vaccines over the past two years due to extensive travel to Africa. Go to the Baraka (used to be called Kuwaiti) hospital in Deira where all vaccinces are virtually free for UAE residents. I had to have a Yellow Fever Jab which I believe is VERY expensive and they charged me 10dhms.

Re: Getting vaccines
in ad you can go to preventive medicine dept of skmc, they have all the vaccines there, they charge you per vaccine, and its a walk in you just wait your turn. when i was on the hunt for malarone they didnt have it at all, i would have had to go to american hosp in dxb for that! at 500dhs to see the doc to write the script and then i would have had to pay 30dhs per pill! so 150dhs isnt that bad.
