I'm off there in Jan, a few things:

Anyone know if / what shots I need to get done?

Where do I get this? Theres a doctors in DFC, can I just make an appointment and go there?

Also any idea how much this sort of thing costs?

General health advice:

Recommended innoculations:

http://www.nathnac.org/ds/c_pages/co...VN.htm#general

Yellow fever certificate is required according to this site. Quite pricey I think. Not sure where you can get it done in Dubai.

Also Malaria and Dengue risks so take some pills!

I'm back home in august, reckon I should see my doctor over there?? Get it all done for nowt?

Shots??

You won't need a gun - it's been relatively peaceful there for about 30 years........

I think the yellow fever can only be done at the hospital and I think there might be a charge for it, something is ringing a bell. Worth checking though

BC is right - you can only get it done at certain hospitals and travel health centres in the UK (there is one in Edinburgh....!) You will be charged. I think about 50GBP....but it lasts 10 years!
