There cannot be two Granada compounds in Riyadh so it has to be the one that I was forced to stay in for four months before threatening to resign.
It is a compound where once you drive through the gates you still think you are in the streets of Riyadh as the majority of residents wear ethnic attire. I am not including the Filipino nursing staff as they keep themselves to themselves.

Thebe or Theeb (or however they spell it) will rent you a car with passport and home-country license. The locals generally won't. My platinum cards give me car rental insurance, so that works. International chains will rent to you as well (Avis, Hertz, etc.), but they're more expensive.

if you love golf there is a golf club north of riyadh .
if know how to ride a horse there is also a club in Malaz .
if you love desert (and you will ) there are many places .
but first maybe you would like know a little bet about Saudi history you can start with Al Masmak palace it is in the middle of riyadh it is really nice place i suggest to you visiting it tomorrow morning the gate of the palace opens 9:00 AM . you will see many westerners their .
