I just saw that in Fridays GNews... is this new, or has anyone been in prior years.

Looks really cool though. (hopefully it wont be like the London food and wine type events where there are a million people queueing for all the free tat)

There's been a previous food festival (not sure if it was called Taste of Dubai or not) - it was either early last year or 2006, but it seemed to happen very quietly.

The BBC made a programme about it, which occasionally comes around on BBC Food.

It was Festival of Taste - they flew in 6 or 7 chefs from around world and for a week different hotel restaurants had them demonstrating their signature dishes.

Supposed to be happening again in May.

Tak! He has to speak - that accent is half the charm.

Rubbish businessman though.
