I know this is an incredibly awkward question to ask, but I am moving to Alexandria in a month and would like to bring my adult toy. Does anyone know if its prohibited? Would it be better to pack it in my carry on? Does anyone have any experience with this?

It'll probably be prohibited. But, from memory the scanning of bags (hand luggage) as you leave the airport is very limited (if any). Just take the batteries out and put it under a laptop.

if its a rabbit stick it in your suitcase with your hair wand and blowdryer and all your other long electrical bits and bobs that are similar shaped.

You might want to choose a more discreet toy if you have a pet rabbit and want to avoid any potential embarrassment - although the worst they do is wave it at you telling you this not allowed here madam and conviscate it- so maybe a bullet style vibe or something pretty from Myla - you can also get memory sticks that have vibes on the end- plenty of choices that dont look like phallic love sticks snigger snigger

I always get pulled over at customs here (Dubai) as apparently I just look guilty (of what I'm not sure), you could always hget a male visitor to bring it in for you- they seem to get searched less for this type of thing.
