Finally arrived in Dubai (staying at marina)

Finally arrived in Dubai (staying at marina)
Hi all....spoke on here a while back but have been so busy packing up our life in the UK I did't get chance to get bk on here.
Arrived in Dubai 28th May and staying in Dubai Marina in a company apartment that my husband works for. Last time we stayed in Old Town, I did like it up there but also like it down here now and I need to start looking for apartments to move into in about 4-5 weeks (hopefully container with our things should arrive by then).
Anybody got any thoughts about life in Marina or anywhere else, think I need a real estate agent to take me around for the day showing me all different kings of apartments / The Greens / Discovery Gardens etc. so just gonna check out Dubizzle now.
Any other newbies in the area I would love to meet up and chat as I probably wont be starting work till the end of June after I have found us a place to live and set up home.

Great that you've arrived safe & sound. We got here just over a week ago...so we're both going on as planned.
We've been apartment hunting & have (fingers crossed) got a lovely place in the Marina (right by the Marina Walk) with fab views. Where abouts are you in the Marina? We're living in The Greens at the moment. It's nice, but nowhere near as lovely as Marina. We also, almost, secured an apartment in JBR, but as soon as we saw this place in the Marina with the big balcony, we knew it was for us!!
I'll PM you with my mobile this time. We will definitely meet up for that coffee.
