Family Visa Muscat
I have been in Muscat since 16 AUG.
I have my Oman employment visa status and residence card.
Is there a limit of a certain period before I am entitled to apply for a family visa?
I think that my Indian PRO is feeding me 'baloney', our Omani PRO says it can be done immediately.
Please enlighten me.

Re: Family Visa Muscat
I have been here since about the same time as DB and my family is here since as well, however unlike me they were only given a family visit visa for a period of three months. By which time I have been told that they will have to make a re-entry to get the proper dependent visa stamped in their passports. The plan was to do a Dubai trip on a long weekend nearer the time, meanwhile I'm also told that they will have to go through a medical tests in the third month or just before the re-entry trip, as the results are valid for a month only. As I see it, there is no constraint in terms of the principal visa holder, it is only that the family should get their visa status changed before their current visa expires.
Please correct me if my understanding is incorrect.

Mine were all approved before we even moved out there.
Certain nationalities (not Brits) have to wait 3, 6, or never months before they are allowed to bring their family over.
Assuming you and your family are all uk passport holders, there should be no reason they cannot join immediately.

Ah. That could be tougher. Get your Omani PRO to sort it out.

According to my Omani PRO, it is simple, just get the marriage certificate and the birth certificate attested by, Oman Embassy in Bangkok, Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Thai Embassy in Muscat, Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The first two have done already...
