Family RP - Qatar

Hi,

My family has arrived in Qatar and they got visa on airport (On Arrival Visit visa for 1 month and extendable for another month). I am preparing for all the documents i.e. bank statement, employer NOC, tenancy agreemenet etc.

My question is can I just apply for RP and they get RP within country OR do they need to exist and re-enter on RP ?

Thanks.

Regards,

Suresh

There's no need for them to get out of the country and re-entry, just be careful to do medical check in the first weeks and do not let the family visa expire.

Steps to take:
- medical check
- blood group
- apply for residence approval
- transfer current family visit visa to residence
- submit passports for residence stamp (and issue of Qatar ID for wife)

Please be careful with step 4, family visit visa has to be linked with the residence approval in their system otherwise when you go with their passports to apply residence stamp the system will show that they are outside of country and your request will be rejected.

I did not apply for visit visa. They got the visa on airport for 1 month. As on british passport you can enter country without pre-arranged visit visa. So how I link this visa to RP application ? Do I need to mention the visa number in RP application. Thanks a lot for your help

Usually employers' human resources offices should help you in this process and give you all the necessary advice and support. Did you ask them? In our case (Qatar Foundation) the HR office took care of the process, and they provided us a family visa before the rest of the family entered the country.
