Fal compound riyadh

Hi,

My husband and I, along with our 2 year old are relocating to riyadh. My husbands company has rented a 3 bedroom villa on Fal for us. Just wondering if anyone is currently living on it or has recently lived there can give us an idea of what it is like?

Fal is now one of the lesser attractive and older compounds here. Quite a few new ones to choose from. Depends on what you like and what your budget is. Do you want lots of recreational and leisure or do you just want basic. My compound is new, but not huge and suffers from things like poor drains - they seem not to understand the use of u-bends in the sinks/baths/showers, but the facilities are ok. Then again the compound is only about 40% occupied.

I've looked at those like Al-Bustan, excellent facilities and good range of accommodation, but feels like a military base, is located out on the edge of the city and is expensive.

Older compounds like Al-Hamra are far more established and have a small town feel, but the accommodation units I looked around were pretty old and grotty even though the price was high.

Al-Naklah is one of the newer and more attractive places, especially for a family. Excellent facilities, but not quite as good as Al-Bustan, but feels more like a country club. Still expensive, but has the one big advantage of being co-located with a shopping complex.

Sorry about the spelling of the compounds - trying to recall them from memory.

FAL is in a good location. Used to be known as Little Beirut. Also used to have a good social gathering place in a shipping container! I'd imaging the new compounds like California now open
