I think the Chavs make it into town for matches. Since arriving in the UK, I have become adept at recognizing them, based on the Urban Dictionary definition... (Search google "Urban Dictionary" Chav).

Oh and to the guy who went racing through Bekaa... next time, you can make it even more "fun" by crossing the mountains from Bekaa to Beirut at Dahr Baidar at night, in fog. I did it 4 weeks ago, and first thought that the heavy smoke coming up was just fog... from the smell it became clear that it was also burning brakes on the Syrian lorries ahead!

One of my cars is a Boxster S and the AC works fine in the winter. It's a fun little car to drive and are pretty cheap in Dubai.

People who buy 4x4s, or modern American cars need to be shot.

Driving in Lebanon is hugely entertaining. I remember the first time I did it I waited patiently at the lights to turn left towards Solidare....I didn't make that mistake twice.

i am finding people slagging of driving a porsche boxter laughable...

I mean, get real, its not a bad car to drive....

plus its not an american piece of plastic junk

what's wrong with American Junk?
have been quite happy with mine despite the huge lack of power!

Clearly people assumed that I was mentioning the Boxster as the epitomy of a sports car - in reality, I was mentioning it (I said Porsche Boxster or similar) so that there would be some idea of the lifestyle I want - comfortable without being flashy... so I could get help on deciding how much I need to be offered! I'm not trying to spend all of my money on my car, but I don't want to drive something cheap either. Maybe in 10 years I'd consider driving a supercar, but I generally think guys in their mid-twenties driving around in Ferraris look like jackasses :-)

Is a Porsche flashy? I never thought so... It's a fairly common car I think, on par with a 3-series BMW...

i always wondered why that set of traffic lights is there... maybe it's to pick out who the tourists are...

the one thing better than the driving though is the parking... it's impressive!

as for korean crap... let me know when mercedes start offering a 7 year warranty!
