Default Estate Agents and moving to Dubai

Hi all,

I am moving to Dubai in the next week or so and am being out up by my company for a short period. So have given myself a short period of time to start looking for an apartment before I start work.

Firstly, does anyone know of a good estate agent? I seem to find them a little wishy washy.........

Also, am I being unreasonable in looking for a 2 Br furnished apart in the marina for 100k AED?

I am not a particularly flash person and just need something modest for the first year.

Any comments welcome.

Many Thanks

It is very hit and miss...we just used Dubizzle website to find a place.

I'm not sure on current prices, they were still coming down last time I looked.

Mate, its easier when you're out here, it wont take too long to find a place, infact I know loads going on the marina walk for 2 b/r 100 square foot for 115K AED, sure this can be haggled down.

Look at Habtoor Tower Dubai Marina, agents name is Tim. I did the searches before coming out but my bro wwas able to view the places for me.

dubizzle is the best option for finding a place, but like I said easier when you're out in Dubai.

To be fair there are some very good agents out there - probably comprising around 10% of the total number of agents though.
