Entry/Exit records for Oman
 

Hey

If anyone can help, I was just wondering if anyone might know or has succeeded in getting some kind of travel record from Oman immigration that shows entry and exits into Oman? I'm sure there must be a way since everything is electronically logged
I left Oman a couple of year ago now after living in the Musandam and have applied for Canadian citizenship where I live :) I'm almost certain I'm going to be asked for entry records for Oman and probably the UAE to prove when I left which seems a nightmare if I'm not in country, and would probably be made difficult even if I was there :(

I doubt that they would release those even if you were in-country. This is a security matter and such things are not treated lightly in the region. Given the sensitivity of Musandam as a locus I would think it is even more sensitive.

Do you not have your passport with the stamps showing dates?

If it’s anything like ‘mainland’ Oman everyone travels on their ID card. We haven’t had our passports stamped for years as our ID cards act like UAE eGate cards.

I have lots but I've never flown into Oman only via the UAE and they don't stamp when you enter and exit the Musamdam just check passports/Residency visa and my permission to leave card, I always had to drive to the Kalba border for anything visa related and was stamped out of the UAE, into Oman, out of Oman, then back into the UAE. My passport is a right mess of stamps and difficult to follow hence needing the entry/exit records.
I know you can get UAE entry/exit records at an immigration border and was hoping its possible with Oman too. Just so difficult to find out when not in country :(
