Employing only Muslim maids in Saudi Arabia
Saudi cleric Shaikh Yousuf Al Ahmad says workers who are hired as domestic helpers in the kingdom must be Muslims.
A Saudi cleric said only Muslim housemaids should be allowed in the country and they should be kept segregated from men in the home, an online news site reported on Tuesday.
"If there is a need to import workers as female domestics, they should be Muslims," Shaikh Yousuf Al Ahmad, a strong opponent of men and women mixing in the kingdom, told the sabq.org website.
He also said female domestics should cover themselves in the home, and that, following Islamic requirements for Saudi women, they should also be required to have a male relative guardian, or mahram, with them in Saudi Arabia.
"They should be required to work in the home covered with the hijab [veil], and not mix with men in the home, not enter their rooms or the hall or serve them," he said.
Shaikh Ahmad is a lecturer at Riyadh's Imam Mohammad Bin Saudi University, the country's leading Islamic education institution.
He gained notoriety earlier this year when he called for the Grand Mosque of Makkah to be torn down and rebuilt with separate entrances and areas for men and women.

Well they have obviously put a lot of thought into this.
So how are the mens rooms going to get cleaned? and the maids rooms will have a second bedroom for their male family member? Yep good luck with that one Mr Ahmed. obviously a genius

Wonder if Sheikh A realises that there's a 'Shirley of Hollywoods' in Sahara mall not more that 5km away from 'the country's leading Islamic education institution'.
I was surprised to see such an establishment with mannequins wearing kinkey policewoman uniforms in the window as I bowled around the mall looking for a place to cut my keys
To be fair it was tucked away in the basement near gate 8
