Employer Ban
What's the score with this? If you leave a company before a year's up, can they ban you?

Re: Employer Ban
At senior/management levels, it depends on the employer really. Sometimes they can get really nasty, especially if you're not parting on good terms - have heard many horror stories. So please tread with caution.
But if you're moving from the private sector to a govt owned company - then no worries!

Re: Employer Ban
Certain professions (there was a list - this includes basically all but unskilled workers) do not get an automatic ban provided you have a NOC from your employer.

Only got away with the whole thing as new job gave me a free-zone visa.

I am pretty sure that immigration automatically ban you and it has nothing to do with your employer. It is an immigration thing because of the less than one year. Also your employer may ask you to return the monies they have spent sponsoring you and family etc???

Re: Employer Ban
i am a Professional Electrical Engineer and left my previous company after 10 months and got a ban. My PRO told me that not even an NOC can assist.
By ban, all it means that i had to wait for 6 months before i could re-apply for my residence visa. Basically i had to do visa runs, but as i work mainly outside the UAE, it didnt really make too much of a difference.
There is a lot of confusion and misrepresentation of the phrase 'ban'. It differs from 'transfer of visa' from one emplyer to another

It was quite quiet to be honest, think Friday is the big day for all the lurkers. A few fully dressed guys hanging around suspiciously close to some bikini clad girls, (whoops that was me)
An hour in the sun is enought for me im afraid
