Default Electrical Goods

Please help.........

what plug do they use in Oman. Am I able to bring the leccy goods that I have in the UK out there with me, or do I need to buy new.

Then the next question, are they cheaper in Oman than the UK (i know likely to be, but need to ask the question). This includes white goods, as will need to buy loads of new stuff for Kitchen.

Then another question, are UAE and Oman the same, and if the leccy goods are cheaper in UAE than Oman, is it easy to buy them there then take them back to Oman

Many thanks

Plugs and voltage are exactly the same as the UK.

That depends on whether you want white or stainless steel Only joking!!

Most appliances are cheaper, recently bought a large hitachi double door fridge/freezer s/steel for less than £300.

In fact whilst on the subject saw a george forman grill thingy in spinneys the other day for 299 dhs (certain model) exact same thing in argos catalogue was £99.99!!!!!!

Only thing that annoys the hell out of me is that they all come with 2 pin plugs when we have 3 pin sockets

I am not sure exactly how much cheaper stuff is but I have been to carrefour for a new fridge freezer this morning and a huge one (not double door) was 1800 dhs. I would say stuff is cheaper here but if you have good stuff in the UK and the company are shipping it over anyway I would just bring it.
