Lived in Cairo for 2 years, and before that flew there frequently on business. Always refused to fly Egyptair.

I've used GyppoAir a few times in the past but only due to possible convenience on flight times - due to my recent "no overnight flight rule for work regardless of class" I'd never fly them again.

My youngest daughter messaged me earlier today about this. She's having a bit of a panic because one of her best mates when we were in Dubai regularly flies between their homes in Paris and Cairo. She spoke to her a few days ago and she was in Paris but I've told my daughter the chances of her friend being on that flight are very, very remote. Has there been any news on it yet?

We flew Egyptair once. The husband's seat collapsed as we took off. Back of the seat broke off he ended up with his head in the lap of the person behind. They didn't have a seat he could move to so had to suck it up. They didn't seem too bothered. I however found it extremely funny.
