e-commerce business in Dubai.
Hello!
First off, I'd like to apologize for starting a new thread without helping anyone else. I'm not from England, and this post is all about asking a few questions related to the e-commerce business in Dubai and maybe a possible partner. Expat-partner.
I will not be talking about the business I'm launching for obvious reasons, but its simply an e-commerce business based in Dubai that will sell specific goods not found anywhere else in the region.
I know most laws and regulations when it comes to launching a business with creativezone or virtuzone, but those folks are reserved for candidates looking to setup as a service more so than commercial-trade.
Does anyone know the procedure for launching an e-commerce business in Dubai? Do i need a local partner? How would i go about launching in a freezone as an e-commerce business without the need of a local.
I won't extend this any further for now, but i do appreciate even the slightest of advice.
The business plan and everything is all polished up apart from the laws.

Oh, the suspense. What is it? Smut, drugs or home brew kits, or wasabi crackers - never been able to find them here.

Abela in Abu Dhabi usually has a variety of Wasabi snacks (this doesn't help the opening poster does it)

I don't see why setting up an e-commerce business in a freezone is any different from setting up any other business in a freezone. AFAIK the route-to-market is not a determining factor.
But if its purely e-commerce, why set up here? Surely one of the advantages of e-commerce is that you can be based anywhere.

simplest way to limit risk is (and the way a lot of companies set up by expats do it is)..holding company in some far away country like British Virgin Islands, subsidiary holding company in a freezone and then a subsidiary of this company locally..
