DXB Duty Free
 

I have just had some friends ask whether it's cheaper to buy wine in the UK (Duty free) and bring it on the plane or pick it up at DXB for a similar price. Suddenly realised I don't know the price comparisons?!

Also is the limit 5 bottles of wine or 2 litres of wine and 2 litres of spirits.

As far as I know it is 4 units per person in Dubai - that is 4 bottles of wine, or 4 bottles of spirits, or 4 cases of beer (or a combination of above).

I'd not bother with buying in UK, prices in Dubai Duty free always seem good to me.

Got it, that makes sense, thanks a lot! Last time I came in to the Majlis terminal and couldn't find duty free there?

The other benefit of picking up in Dubai is that you don't have to carry it all with you as hand luggage, and have it scanned umpteen times throughout your journey.

Prices are cheap for spirits (48dhs for 1l of SKYY Vodka), but not so cheap for wine.
