Duty Free Allowance

Hi all,
Me and hubby are coming to Dubai on 13th June, I am aware it is Ramadan ( though not told at time of booking ) We are happy to follow the rules but would still like to bring a few bottles of wine to drink in our room early evening. I believe the duty free allowance is 4 litres but what I am wondering is , does it have to be purchased in a duty free shop or can we buy here in Uk and pack into our suitcase?

a bit risky to pack in your suitcase...suitcases get tossed around...best to buy from duty free when you land over here.
