The dullest post ever - can you help?
This really is dull, but I hope one of you kind people might be able to help.
Does anyone know where in the UAE you can buy bent plywood dining chairs? yes you heard right. bent plywood - they are a design classic you know... I can walk into a couple of showrooms on SZR and buy them for 1,000 to 2,000 a piece - but that's crazy money.
I found some for 300 dhs which is far more in the right price range, but wrong colour (stop sniggering at the back).
Does anyone have any idea where one may find some bent plywood chairs in various colours?
For those unsure of a bent plywood chair -here you go:

have you tried Habitat? there's a shop in Jumeirah Plaza (the pink one) off Beach Road, and a warehouse in Al Quoz I think.

However there are a few new stores that sell good looking, nicely designed furniture. Singways and Bo Concept - both in the MOE.
The One is kind of odd....

Well... Habitat didn't have them. Stopped at the Lime Tree Cafe for THE FIRST TIME EVER. Really - been here for 2.5 years and never been to Janeland Central. Thought it was nice, but far prefer More Cafe... anyways.
Went to Festival City now it has opened - it will be interesting, but for now it's still opening... it's like MOE but spread thinly. Good store presentation though - Camper is cool plus others. Nice water features in the mall.
Anyway - back to the chair - found the perferct chair at Western Furniture by Macktoum Bridge Road. But... the will not sell me the ****** things unless I buy the table too. I have a table, I just want the chairs....
So... I am now considering importing the goddam things from Italy. They cost 470dhs a chair.
Hope this wraps up the dull post...!
Cheers to MM by the way.
And The One is weird. It's gaudy in a Stevie Wonder kind of way...

went to lime tree once and I hated it, like a posh transport cafe. Too loud etc but the food looked good.
wouldn't go again, coffee machines make more noise than the guests!
