serious answer... the camel racetrack. head out on the Al Ain road and you'll see a brown sign saying Camel Racing City or somesuch a few miles past the Outlet Mall. camels everywhere, the handlers are used to tourists and are usually pretty friendly, and you can drive your car right round the perimeter of the racecourse too, keeping pace with the camels.

Plenty of wild ones on the desert road from Emirates Rd towards the East Coast a few junctions after the Dreamland Aquapark exit.

Everyday the private road to my work is blocked by camels, once is cool, twice is nice, more is annoying.

Come to Al Ain to the Camel market. Drive an hour and a half to ride one of the stinky unpleasant beasts. All the photos and camel memories anyone could ever need.

About 30 mins drive past Arabian Ranches, so around 45 from MoE. Yes, kids definitely very welcome, it's geared up for them. Mine loved it, my 10 year old niece was on the stage dancing with the belly dancer (and her Dad clearly fascinated by said dancer's remarkable independent breast movement skills).
