Holy crap! Any reports of injury? I drove past that twice today and didn't notice - will it hit the papers.... hmm....

That's really not good....

I work quite a lot with temporary works and I'm pretty sure the major clue to this failure is in the middle picture of your 2nd post. A load of strongbacks still stacked neatly on the ground when they most probably should have been holding the deck up!;)

Looks to me like one of the bridges not the metro, the bridge was ready for the concrete and the scaffoldong has give way (similar thing to what happened on the hotel recently when 6 or 7 were killed! looks like the bridge taking you off to what will be Dubai Mall near interchange 1.
Still not good only hope and pray no one was hurt.

Cynical, gorgeous, cynical.........

......... bloody funny though.........

That looks to me like a simple unsupported section 'tipping over' - easily rectified.......... so it will be perfectly safe when it eventually opens.......

(NB: This post contains sarcasm)

My belief while I was living in the middle east was always to wait for anything to be open for at least few weeks and see if there were any fatalities before I joined in!
