Hi,
I just moved to Dubai and am looking for appartments in Marina. A colleague told me that his friends had a huge problem wit bad smells in JBR, and apparently it was a common sewage problem.
He didn't know if the problem still persists as his friends moved out.
A question to people living in JBR - what do you think???

All tall buildings have vertical utility shafts for water, electricity, sewerage, waste disposal, plus, of course, the elevators. JBR is no exception. We live in the Murjan sector and noticed the pong on arrival. There is a large steel panel access door in the bathrooms which gives access to the sewerage shaft - all we did was gaffer taped around the gaps between the door panels and the frames and - no more pong.

I lived in Amwaj, JBR for 3 years upto Dec 2010 and had no issues

Just moved there, didn't notice any problem in the apartments I viewed, although there's a bit of a pong from the washing machine discharge pipe thing which I'll try to cure with lashings of duct tape.
